Frequently asked questions

Wait. What is Fantastic Film Festival Australia?

A home for mind-breakers, trend-setters, razor-walkers, loose-wires, truth-talkers, trailblazers and envelope-pushers, Fantastic Film Festival Australia comes to Lido Cinemas (VIC), Thornbury Picture House (VIC) and Ritz Cinemas (NSW) from 17 April 2024. It's a film festival celebrating genre and alternative cinema from around the globe; cinema that is subversive and thought-provoking, outside-of-the-box and a little bit wild.

How do I buy tickets?

You're in the right place! Use the Films & Sessions page to navigate through to the film/s of your choice, and click through on the session time to finalise your booking. Tickets can also be purchased at the Lido, TPH and Ritz Cinemas box offices.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $25 for adults and $19.50 for concession and $18.50 for Lido & Ritz Cinemas members as well as Thornbury Picture House members. Festival passes include a 5 film pass for $85, 10 film pass for $155, and a VIP film pass for $255.

Where and when is the festival screening?

Fantastic Film Festival Australia screens at Ritz Cinemas in Randwick, New South Wales from 17 April - 10 May, at Lido Cinemas in Hawthorn, Victoria from 18 April - 9 May and at Thornbury Picture House in Thornbury, Victoria from 25 April - 30 April 2024.

How do I book in as a group?

For bookings at Lido and Ritz Cinemas send enquiries to: events@movingstory.com.au. For bookings at Thornbury Picture House send enquiries to: hello@thornburypicturehouse.com

Are the films classified?

How do I know if a film is right for me?
